From a yakatabune, you can see the back of the bridge.<\/p>\n This traditional bridge was originally built in the Edo period, and the current bridge was built in the Taisho period. Their blue illumination is beautiful, and Tokyo Sky Tree can be seen behind the bridge from a yakatabune. This is also designated as an important national cultural property.<\/p>\n This bridge’s construction was planeed together with Eitai Bridge as a reconstruction work of Great Kanto Earthquake. It was designed as a suspension bridge to contrast with the arch-type Eitai Bridge. The construction work started in the Taisho period and ended in the Showa period. Because of its elegant and beautiful design, it is called “the flower of the earthquake reconstruction.” It is also designated as an important national cultural property together with Kachidoki Bridge and Eitai Bridge.<\/p>\n\n
