Starting an event on time, including collecting all participants in time, is tough work. This is partly because everybody takes their own route to the venue after work. Since the guests will be picked up at an appointed place before they are brought to the pier, they will not get lost.
You will be picked up at your workplace and brought directly to the boarding pier. It is far easier than taking a train and then going to the pier.
